Ars Trio di Roma

Since its debut in 2001, the Ars Trio di Roma has established itself as one of the most compelling chamber music ensembles on the Italian and international scene. The group perfected its craft under the guidance of the Trio di Trieste at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena, receiving an Honorary Diploma upon completion of the course. That same year, the Ars Trio di Roma won the 1st Prize at the prestigious International Competition “Premio Trio di Trieste” — the last Italian ensemble to receive this distinction.

Since then, the Ars Trio has appeared at major Italian concert associations, including: Amici della Musica in Florence, Vicenza, Padua, Verona and Palermo, Società dei Concerti di Mantova, Asolo Musica, Teatro Nuovo “Giovanni da Udine”, Accademia Filarmonica di Rovereto, Società dei Concerti di Parma, Filarmonica Laudamo di Messina, Festival delle Nazioni, Società del Quartetto di Bergamo, GOG Genova, Bologna Festival, IUC Roma, Chamber Music Trieste.

Extensive international activity: South America (Chile, Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil), Czech Republic, France, Ukraine, Austria, Germany, England and China.

With a broad repertoire spanning from classical to contemporary, the Trio regularly programs composers such as Shchedrin, Kagel and Henze, as well as pieces written expressly for them, including the Triple Concerto for Trio and Orchestra by Michele Dall’Ongaro.

For the Limen Music label, the Trio has recorded the complete Beethoven Trios on CD and DVD.

The members of the Trio regularly hold Masterclasses at AIMRoma.
